Doctrine of Plan of God

The Protocol Plan of God.

God has a plan for your life.  God is perfect, and therefore, His plan for you is absolutely perfect.  A perfect God can only create a perfect plan for you.  God has designed this plan for you regardless of your previous success or failure in your spiritual life.  You always start with the here and now.  And, although we, as believers in Jesus Christ, are still living on this earth after salvation as imperfect and helpless persons when it comes to the fulfillment of God’s plan, He has provided perfectly for us to fulfill His plan.  He has provided perfectly!  If you are one of those who does not need His plan, God will quickly show you just how helpless you really are to live a meaningful life.  Those who recognize their own helplessness are the ones who fulfill God’s plan.  All the limitations in God’s plan come from us, our failure to exploit His power, not from Him.

God has found a way, a means, and power for us to do exactly what He wants us to and so fulfill His plan. I use the word “do” advisedly.  90% of your “doing” is setting your priority, expressing your positive volition, you saying to yourself: I want to do what God wants me to do and be what God wants me to be.   God designed a pipeline, so to speak by which He provides your every need and additional blessings as well.  We will look at this system when we talk about the logistical grace rationale.  This pipeline is the basis for the fulfillment of all of our needs and all our blessing.  We have never done anything to earn or deserve support or blessing from God.  Grace means that God has done all the work.

God, because He has delegated a certain part of His power to us has given to us all of the power we need to live the spiritual life.  Since a perfect plan can only be fulfilled or lived by perfect power, all three persons of the Trinity have contributed a power to each one of us as believers living on the earth.  God the Father provided for us our very own portfolio of invisible assets.  God the Son created the universe and provided for us everything necessary to preserve it.  No human being can destroy the earth or the human race.  Jesus Christ will do this at the end of the Millennium.  God the Holy Spirit provided for us the both the power and the perception for Bible doctrine in a spiritual I.Q. framework.  John discussed the Spirit’s provision:

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. John 16:13.

This is the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit. Now, let’s talk about the various systems God has put into place so that we can appropriate and exploit His power.

God has provided us two systems of His power by which we execute His plan.  The first comes through God the Holy Spirit.  Two mandates indicate this:

Be filled with the Spirit. Eph 5:18.

Walk by means of the Spirit. Gal 5:16

There has to be link between the God’s power and your use of that divine power.  That link is the Word of God.  Now, do you see how important it is to learn doctrine, to believer doctrine, to have that doctrine, which you believe, circulating in your stream of consciousness, in your thinking?  Only through the filling of the Spirit can you do this.  You see, God has found a way to make His perfect plan work in the life of every imperfect believer.  There has to be link between the God’s power and your use of that divine power.

He has designed a solution to every problem in life for every believer.  He provided this solution in eternity past, long before each one of us was a twinkle in their daddy’s eye.  This system of solutions is recorded in the word of God.  You can only use God’s system of solutions, making them work for you by learning and repeatedly being exposed to Bible doctrine under the teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit. So, only through the filling of the Spirit can you make this a reality in your life.

The second system of His power is His Word:

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  Hebrews 4:12

You can only appropriate divine solutions to your life by understanding, learning and understanding His Word.  Ideally, you need to be inculcated so that you can’t forget it, all under the teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

Along with the systems of power, His plan must have a system of authority.  Your response to that authority will make or break your spiritual life.  Your response to authority in general that is, your authority orientation, will make or break your life. Authority orientation is an issue of humility.  The system of authority that relates to our spiritual lives begins in Heaven.  Some of that authority is delegated, for instance, parents have authority over their children, governmental leaders over citizens, coaches over players and here: the pastor over the congregation; some is in writing referring to Word of God.

God’s protocol plan must have a system of communication.  That system is based on the Scriptural teaching of verbal-plenary inspiration.  Verbal-plenary inspiration is defined thusly. God so supernaturally directed the human writers of Scripture, that without waiving their intelligence, their individuality, their personal feelings, their literary style, or any other factor of expression, His complete and coherent message to the human race was recorded with perfect accuracy in the original languages of Scripture, the very words bearing the authority of divine authorship.

Verbal inspiration means that the Bible, in the original languages from the first word to last, is the exact record of the mind and the will of God as He intended it to be. Plenary means the entire text is equally from God but not necessarily equally important or equally indispensable; for the Bible quotes human and satanic lies, and erroneous views of false prophets.  Therefore, inspiration guarantees the accuracy of what is there, but it does not condone or sponsor errors, evils, or falsehood; it merely explains them in detail.

For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Matthew 5:18

The protocol plan of God must have a communicator.  In this age, He has delegated the responsibility of communicating spiritual growth producing Bible doctrine to the spiritual gift of pastor-teacher.  Included in our portfolio of invisible assets, God provided for each of us a spiritual gift.  To some men, he has given the gift of pastor-teacher.  It requires tremendous preparation both academically and spiritually.

The protocol plan of God must have a system of solutions, that is, a means to bring the power of God to bear upon your problems as you live your life.  The system is called the ten problem solving devices.  We’ve touched on this before.  These problem solving devices prevent the outside pressures of your life, these are inevitable, from becoming the inside pressures or stress in your soul.

The protocol plan of God must have assets by which to live it.  He has given to each Church age believer a portfolio of invisible assets.  After salvation, you are investing your life on this earth in God’s plan.  Therefore, God has provided for you your very own portfolio of assets.

The protocol plan of God must have a system for production and service.  Every believer is in full time Christian service.  The most important factor of Christian service is the invisible hero-ship of the believer who executes the protocol plan of God.  He has invisible impact on history.

The protocol plan of God must have a system of rewards for both time and eternity.  Since God has a plan for your life after salvation, His plan must go into operation as soon as we become aware of its various concepts.

Now let’s look at some principles about God’s plan:

1. There are no contradictions in God’s protocol plan for this church age.  Contradictions do not exist in the plan itself, but do exist when we as believers reject, ignore, or abandon the spiritual skills.  Contradictions exist in us, not in the plan.  We fail, the plan does not!  The plan is still perfect.  We contradict His plan when we remain ignorant of any aspect of the unique spiritual life He has provided us.

2.  Under the perfect plan of God, doctrine you believe excludes all aspects of human power.  Divine power always excludes human power.  If He allowed human power to exist in His plan then humanity would have a reason to glory in human function.  Grace always excludes legalism.  Each believer must decide for himself based upon his the doctrine circulating in his own soul.  Divine viewpoint excludes human viewpoint.  Divine solutions exclude human solutions.

3. If you, as a believer are going to fulfill God’s plan for your life, exploiting all of the power He has provided for you to do so, then you must not remain ignorant of all aspects of His plan for you.  So you need to live the life beyond GNOSIS, and move into the realm of epignosis by the dynamics of your faith.  GNOSIS is knowledge, in this case, Bible doctrine which you understand but you do not believe.  EPIGNOSIS knowledge is that doctrine which you believe, which therefore, the Spirit sends to your soul for application and spiritual growth,  Unfortunately, many believers choose to remain ignorant and so spend their lives in blind arrogance and strong delusion.  This doesn’t affect the plan or its function, it remains to be exploited.  You see, your ignorance is your greatest enemy in your function of the protocol plan.  You not only have to have the proper information in your soul but you also must believe it, own it.  The life beyond GNOSIS demands cognition, inculcation, metabolization of Church Age doctrine.  Therefore, the number one priority in the spiritual life has to be learning Bible doctrine.  I cannot place more emphasis upon this truth.

4. You as a Church Age believer, as royalty, I might add, cannot account for your thoughts, motives, decisions, and actions in indefinable terms; so you need to understand the importance of vocabulary and categorical storage in your stream of consciousness.  A basic example of thought accountability: Am I in fellowship, at this moment.  Am I thinking God’s thoughts or my own thoughts?  Am I functioning under God’s power or my “own” power?  If you are not living empowered by God, then you are surely under satanic power.

5. The protocol plan of God demands that you understand the technicalities of biblical theology.  God’s protocol plan has its own vocabulary, categories, concepts, principles, and applications, which are the exclusive property of Bible doctrine.  Every specialized category of education has its own language by which you understand its details. The Word of God is no different.

6. The ten problem solving devices on the defense line of the soul can only exist from one’s own function of going beyond GNOSIS, or being a hearer and a doer of the Word.

7. How do you create the standards in your soul by which to be accountable?  You go back to basics of Bible doctrine. You must be consistent in exposing yourself to expository teaching of the Word of God.  This provides the vocabulary for divine viewpoint in your stream of consciousness.  You have to deploy your problem solving devices in your own soul.  When you do, you always win the battles of life before they begin.

8. Ignorance of Bible doctrine evades the true reality of God’s plan for your life.  Without the reality of metabolized doctrine in the stream of consciousness it is inevitable that sooner or later you will enter denial or projection.  This results in the sins of the soul—the arrogance complex of sins, the emotional complex of sins, and the domination of the lust pattern of the sin nature.

9. God has provided everything you need to live your very own spiritual life.  You and you alone are the only one who can live it.  There is no substitute for metabolized doctrine circulating in your own stream of consciousness.  God designed you to solve your own problems with what He provided.  You cannot fulfill the plan of God for your life by imitating and thinking motives, decisions, and functions of another believer.  Only ignorance believers borrow from others.  Only accurate Bible teaching that you believe can fulfill your soul with the ingredients of grace necessary to take the high ground of spiritual maturity.

Since we’ve discussed protocol, we need to define it.  Protocol is a rigid, long-established code, prescribing complete deference to superior rank and authority, followed by strict adherence to due order of precedence, coupled with precisely correct procedure.  Protocol tells us that there is a precisely correct procedure that God has provided for every part of His plan for our lives.  God has a way of doing things.  His way is the right way and the only way of doing things.  A right thing done in a right way is right in God’s plan.  What is the right thing?  It is defined in the Scripture as a system of integrity and the right thing for you is something you will discern as you grow up spiritually.  It always begins with spiritual growth and coming to know and love God.  What is the right way?  First, the right way is being in fellowship, exploiting God’s power.  He has given to us three categories of divine omnipotence to exploit, that of each member of the Trinity.  The phrase “precisely correct procedure” also means that a wrong thing done in a right way is wrong way and a right thing done is a wrong way is wrong.

Our precedence for living this unique spiritual life is based on the life of the humanity of Christ in the dispensation of the Hypostatic Union. He was the first person to be imputed the power of the Holy Spirit.  His way of life was determined by the Father’s plan for Him.  He discerned this by the Scripture.  The power He used for problem solving was that of Scripture in concert with the power of the Spirit.  His life is precedence for your life.

Are their conflicts in your life or does your thinking or actions conflict by doctrine?  Conflict is resolved by the content of Scripture.  The Bible is always right!  Therefore Bible doctrine must be number one priority in the life of the believer.  The absolute criterion is not what we feel or think, but what the Bible has to say.  No believer can understand the plan of God apart from thorough understanding of principles that distinguish this Church Age from other ages. One distinguishing factor is protocol.  Protocol, instead of ritual and prophecy of past ages, characterize this age.

Protocol is a long-established code that goes back to eternity past to the divine decree.  The code of protocol is a system God has ordained.  The procedure is the proper execution of that system.
Procedure is residence, function, and momentum under the power and mentorship of God the Holy Spirit, who teaches us these things.
Protocol is complete deference to superior rank. This is the believer’s orientation to life through recognition of God’s system of delegated authority; the infallible word of God.        This is panorama of true virtue, both enforced humility (metabolization and application of doctrine) and genuine humility (the motivation of reciprocity).  This demands recognition of authority of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the infallible word of God, and the teacher of Bible doctrine.
